We all love to talk about what should be done, but actually doing it requires a level of understanding and alignment beyond business as usual. Design has the power to make abstract conversations real and actionable.

I have a relentless optimism that products and services can sustainably benefit people and planet, with an active pessimism in how often we fall short as competing priorities take over. We can do better.

I’m always looking to work with people smarter and more talented than myself and continually learn how to connect and know the best of each other. Right now that looks like continual development in facilitation and teaming skills.

I believe in the thorough consideration and connection of dots beyond the solution at hand. The web of ecosystems, processes, communities, and interactions are what keep me up and keep me going.

Decisions, decisions. Features are neat, outcomes are compelling. I geek out over understanding organizational decision making as well as fleeting customer attention and how to make stuff that “sticks”.

Sometimes beauty for the sake of beauty, but more often beauty for a greater purpose. Coupled with thoughtful research and strategy, design can be the difference maker between “this is interesting” and “we need this now”.
